Goals

  1. Educating and inspiring students: Through rigorous academic courses and clinical training, we aim to inspire students’ interest in medicine, develop their critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and medical leadership, ensuring lifelong learning and continuous advancement in the medical field.

Objectives
We aim to equip students with the following competencies:

  • Patient assessment: Conduct systematic initial diagnoses through history-taking, physical examinations, and pathology analysis.
  • Arrangement and interpretation of basic tests: Independently arrange common medical tests such as blood tests and imaging studies, and interpret their results accurately.
  • Basic clinical skills: Master essential clinical skills like injections, intubation, wound care, and emergency procedures to meet fundamental clinical requirements.
  • Inpatient care management: Manage inpatient daily care, including monitoring conditions, executing and adjusting treatment plans, and conducting regular patient assessments.
  • Medication and infusion prescriptions: Prescribe appropriate medications and infusions while monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatment strategies as needed.
  • Recognizing and managing acute or deteriorating conditions: Demonstrate acute clinical judgment to detect changes in patient conditions and respond swiftly to emergencies.
  • Patient transfers and discharge planning: Oversee the complete inpatient-to-discharge process, ensuring professional handovers and planning post-hospitalization rehabilitation or outpatient care.
  • Holistic patient care: Provide comprehensive care, addressing patients' physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
  • Team collaboration: Exhibit strong communication skills and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal treatment plans.
