A variety of learning methods are used with strong emphasis on active student learning. These include small-group, problem-based learning (PBL) tutorials, lectures, laboratory sessions and demonstrations, clinical skills and bedside teaching, seminars, debates, evidence based medicine teaching, community and hospital visits. Information technology is also applied to assist students’ learning, such as on-line self assessment, moodle, i-teach, and access to course materials.
